Anybody around who has used/ seen the Theory of 2-Structures applied in model transformation context? Any examples perhaps?
Just have started reading Ehrenfeucht’s Book ON 2-Structures. ‘Classic’ math stuff (AS it should NOT be): lots OF definitions without ANY clue OF justifications :o(
Nevertheless it seems closely related TO graph transformations. So just IN CASE …

I’m curious about this theory. I’ve never heard about it before (maybe I should be ashamed of that?). Can you share any link that explains the idea behind it?
Hi Jordi, no problem:

I read the introduction fo 2-structures that I was sent. The are graphs with two lines between each point. I found that it is the same structure as I dealt with n my earlier book on Wild Software Meta-systems. I plan to write an article about it. Will get back to you when I have a draft.
Have READ through Theory OF 2-Structures by Ehrenfeucht, Harju, Rozenberg, looking FOR clues towards Model Transformation. Here my little takeaway:

I could not find a description of he switch in the papers I found online. So it must be in the book, which I have not yet gotten. But I did write a draft of my paper on how 2-structures are the structure underlying the design minimal method field that I talk about in Wild Software Meta-systems. It will take me some time to rework the paper, but it seems to fit with my original theory, but it seems I need to get the book to make sure. Also I am intrigued by switches, wondering how similar they are to petri-nets. There are a few papers that mention both but I don’t really understand the relation BETWEEN them yet.
