Hi All
I hope you are all fine.
i have question regarding UML that i could not find any answer.
Discuss whether or not UML should be used only when the project life-cycle is iterative and incremental?

Why don’t you tell us what your own thoughts are on this, and why?
I don´t see any reason why UML could not be used with any development processes regardless if the process is agile, waterfall,… . The benefits and disadvantages of UML remain the same
I totally agree with Jordi. I use UML regardless of if I am working in an iterative and incremental project or not. For instance, I use UML to model little examples for uses cases as well as for big systems. It doesn’t minde which kind OF project you ARE working ON.
Jordi, I fully agree. THEN, OF course the advantages ARE even MORE evident if you have iterations IN the development.
Actually, the issue IS NOT really about UML vs. process, but MORE about modeling vs. process.
In that sense, I think that modeling gives its best ON the long run. Indeed the effort spent FOR the modeling OF the solution AT FIRST IS largely repaid WHEN you go back later AND fix / evolve / reimplement the system.
thank you ALL
It IS now clear.
