The Artist (Advanced software-based service provisioning and migration of legacy software) project in which we participate has just released a 4-min video explaining what we do (and why we believe it’s useful) in the project.
As the video says: “Using model-driven techniques Artist facilitates the modernization of your existing non-cloud software assets and your business model to the cloud. Artist provides a tool-supported methodological migration process consisting of three main phases: feasibility analysis, migration and verification“.
Check the video for a more complete picture of what we do (and if you’re interested in knowing the details, just contact us). It won’t come as a surprise that our main contribution in the project is providing model-driven reverse engineering components for the legacy code built on top of MoDisco.
FNR Pearl Chair. Head of the Software Engineering RDI Unit at LIST. Affiliate Professor at University of Luxembourg. More about me.
This seems pretty ambitious, Jordi (very well produced video btw). If I wanted to learn more about the status of the model discovery feature, what would be a good source showing cases etc?
Since we are leading this part feel free to ask us (me or Hugo Brunelière who you´ll most likely meet at EclipseCon, congrats for your accepted talk) and I´ll be able to point you to the right direction.
