Using Balsamiq mock-ups to create UML models in your iPhone (updated)

We have blogged before ( here and here ) about UML tools for the iPhone but those two tools were NOT modeling tools but a reference guide for the UML you could consult when drawing UML diagrams.

However, it seems that the iPhone community really wants a UML modeling tool for the iPhone. The last attempt I’ve seen consists IN USING Balsamiq TO mock UML editing USING the iPhone menu control thanks TO the free Mock4U UML extension developed by Rainer Eschen AND the iPhone templates available IN Balsamiq. WITH this, you can simulate how UML models could be displayed IN your iPhone. So far, class AND use CASE diagrams ARE supported.

There IS also a cool iPhone visualization template FROM iRise (www.irise.com) that mimics exactly the look, feel AND behavior OF the iPhone. The iPhone SimDK IS free AND available here: http://www.irise.com/products/irise_iphones.php. AND you can play WITH it by downloading the free iRise Reader. TO edit OR include it IN your own simulations you will have TO buy SOME form OF iRise – the professional edition IS a great start.

Justinmind Prototyper http://www.justinmind.com has also an iPhone library that is being used with many of their customers. They area making high interactive prototypes in a matter of hours and they export them in HTML so they can test in the real iPhone!
