Starting the “A coffee with … ” series

I learnt a lot when Greg and I did our study of web-based project management portals , specially when interviewing their creators.

Even if each interview took a lot of time (preparing the interview, transcribing and processing it,…), it was arguably the best source of information and by far the most interesting one since it gave us the opportunity to understand the rationale behind the tool design decisions and evolution.

Therefore, I’ve decided TO try a similar approach WITH software modeling tools, HAVING interviews (OR “virtual coffee talks”) WITH lead developers OF modeling tools I find specially interesting. Tomorrow I’ll have the first one with Javi Muñoz (see now the result ) from MOSkitt and TextUML and Novulo are already in line. If the experience goes well I’ll CONTINUE WITH other tools (WITH the idea OF HAVING one interview per MONTH)

So, if you want TO propose a tool OR have suggestions FOR questions please let me know!!!

If you enjoyed this post you can subscribe TO this Software Modeling blog AND/OR follow me ON twitter OR through the portal’s mailing list . And if you really liked it help me pass it on to others by bookmarking and sharing the post using the links below:

Ed Merks would be a good one, I think he’s even IN Toronto (I’m assuming these are ‘virtual’ coffees).

Linus Tolke OF ArgoUML would also be interesting. AND TO ask him about Poseidon too :)
