Software Engineering 2.0 & Research 2.0

Usando como excusa el workshop Software Engineering 2.0 & Research 2.0 CASCON 2009 , Jean-Marie Favre ha propuesto la creación de una comunidad online para discutir (cito textualmente):

We believe that the Software Engineering Community, whether in industry or in research fields, can benefit from web 2.0 technologies. Social networks and other web 2.0 infrastructures have already changed many human activities, including commerce, politics, entertainment, etc. It is time to study the application of web-based collaborative technologies in the context of software engineering and research. This will lead respectively to two complementary emerging fields: “Software Engineering 2.0” and “Research 2.0”. While some infrastructure are already ready for use (consider for instance collaborative repositories such as SourceForge, Jazz, etc.), very many challenges both at a social and a technological level need to be explored.

Yes, I can’t wait to use twit code (140 chars at a time) and invoke unit tests. Sounds like real fun.

You guys maybe too young, but Apple had a little app in the 70s that claim that with enough monkeys we could rewrite Shakespear’s Othello. TO code OR NOT TO code, that IS the question.
