The askUML.com page provides a simple (but nice) a rebol-based script to generate use case diagrams (visualized using yUML , one of the most popular textual UML modeling tools ) from restricted natural language expressions.

Some examples of possible sentences are:

  • Blogger Role
  • Blogger Manage Posts
  • Manage Posts Include Create Post
  • Manage Posts Include Edit Post
  • Manage Posts Include Delete Post
  • Categorize Post Extend Create Post
  • Categorize Post Extend Edit Post

From this kind of English sentences is straightforward to derive the corresponding use case diagram. So, nothing really complex but still useful to draw some quick use case diagrams (specially because it is easy to use the same text to generate different use case diagrams, e.g. one focused on showing the relationships between the actors, and others focused in different subsets of the natural language descriptions)
