Modeling tools news – Nov. 20 2009

Recent releases of new modeling tools (in a few cases, “new” may refer to “new to me”, meaning that I’ve discovered the tool just now but maybe the tool already existed):

  • New version OF the Dresden OCL toolkit FOR Eclipse (TO parse textual OCL expressions). Changelog FOR the new version .
  • Twouse : FIRST release OF the Koblenz TwoUse toolkit TO bridge the gap BETWEEN Semantic Web AND Model Driven Software. It IS an implementation OF CURRENT OMG AND W3C standards FOR developing ontology-based software models AND model-based OWL ontologies.
  • New Release (1.2) OF EMFText an Eclipse plug-IN that allows you TO define text syntax FOR languages described by an Ecore metamodel. It has SOME similarities WITH XText (READ an initial comparison )
  • MyUML tool: modeling AND code generation tool FOR c++\java\c#\Python\Ruby\PHP5\Perl
