IT news online informa acewrca de la colaboración entre el OMG (Object Management Group) y la HL7 (Health Level Seven International) en el campo del desarrollo de nuevos estándares para el campo de la sanidad.

Richard Soley (el chairman de la OMG) lo resume de esta forma:

En mi opinión, no hay duda de qué el campo de la sanidad es un campo donde las técnicas de MDE podrían (y deberían) usarse.
