Rule Interchange Format is now a W3C Standard

W3C announces the publication OF a new standard FOR building rule systems ON the Web: Rule Interchange Format (RIF).

The goal OF RIF IS TO facilitate the interoperation AND interchange BETWEEN various rule languages AND rule engines. RIF defines a common XML serialization LANGUAGE FOR several declarative rule languages (LIKE OMG SBVR, OMG PRR, SWRL, a subfamily OF RuleML, etc)

Looking for new members for the AtlanMod team

AtlanMod research team at École des Mines de Nantes is opening new positions for postdoctoral fellows or research engineers in the field of Model-Driven engineering (including topics such as: model transformation, metamodeling, DSLs, UML, SBVR, business rules, model weaving, model management, reverse engineering and any other model-related aspects)

ATL wins the Best Live model synchronization award at the Tool Transformation Contest 2010

The ATL team (composed by Frédéric Jouault AND Dennis Wagelaar ) won the Best Model Synchronization award AT the live contest hold during the Tool Transformation Contest 2010 event. ATL 3.1.0 is available

ATL 3.1.0 has just been released.

As many OF you already know, ATL IS a model transformation LANGUAGE AND toolkit available AS an Eclipse/M2M component. IN the field OF Model-Driven Engineering (MDE), ATL provides ways TO produce a SET OF target models FROM a SET OF source models. This release brings a lot OF improvements, BOTH AT the USER interface LEVEL AND core LEVEL. READ the

EMF4CPP (a C++ implementation of EMF)

Diego Sevilla introduces today his EMF4CPP tool (a C++ reimplementation of the EMF core) in this guest post. UML still dominating the MDE job market

A quick look AT the MDE keywords appearing IN job offers show that UML IS still by far the most common MDE skill requested. Probably the fact that SOME still think that UML IS a development method helps.

Eclipse DemoCamp in Nantes

Obeo AND AtlanMod ARE co-organizing an Eclipse DemoCamp IN Nantes TO celebrate the Helios release AT the END OF June. IN the event, we will present SOME OF our (many!) contributions TO Eclipse (ATL, TCS, KM3, Megamodeling,AMW,…)
