According to this online survey , 90% of the people (software architects, managers, developers and even students) that are using MDD plan to repeat in the future. This is a wonderful result (assuming, of course, that the methodology used to perform the survey is scientifically sound; the full report is in German so I’ve been unable TO CHECK this).
This result implies that people experience indeed improvements IN the productivity AND/OR quality OF their development processes WHEN applying MDD techniques.
Now that we know that once people try they become “converted” we should face the biggest challenge: TO convince them TO try AT least once (AND under the RIGHT circunstances: training people beforehand, starting WITH a non-critical project, OF a medium SIZE, WITH the RIGHT tools,…; otherwise MDD will NOT WORK nor ANY other technology, introducing change IS always hard).
